Lucky Girl

This is going to be a sappy love post.
If you don't want to hear it, then go back to Facebook.

Y'all. I am so in love.
Brian is so good to me.
I have butterflies right now just thinking about him.

I've got to say, after being with him for about two years (our anniversary is October 15th!) I'm so lucky that he gives me the chance to fall in love with him more and more each day.

He and I met at SLCC, we had a math class together at the Highland campus, I had a book and he didn't.
He came and sat next to me and asked if he could look of my book, and his voice sounds like James Franco.
I liked him right then, but he had a girlfriend at the time... :(
Eventually we both dropped the class, and I didn't see him again.

Jump forward to next semester. Same class, new campus, who walks into my class, but him?
It was fate.
That's all there was to it.

Of course we became fast friends, and study buddies (the girlfriend was gone...don't worry)
He was so persistent in trying to date, but I was just as firm in telling him no, even though I loved his attention. He-he-he!

After I moved to New Jersey, I remember texting him on his birthday, and we talked about everyday afterwards.
Our relationship was long distance for the first 7 months. It was hard, but so worth it.
Because all we had was talking, I got to know him as himself, before it was him and I.

Life has been bliss since I've been home, and he's been by my side.

We have both had some awesome trials that have strengthened us, and helped us learn how to help each other.

He is all I could ask for! I'm a goofy girl, and he'll match it. I love that he'll be silly with me.
I tend to be loud (too loud) and quick to be silly. He's quiet at first and is somewhat serious.
He's my other half.

I'm so lucky.
I love you Brian Dee Kenney!!

On a scale of one to Lord of the Rings, how much did you walk today?

I'll get to that title in a moment. But first, lets look at this picture...

Hold on...
Let's try that one more time...

Let me introduce you all to Mr. Nick Olsen
(cheers from the audience)...I know right?

Story time.
My lovely mother was overweight and took her life into her hands. Sometimes being overweight and taking on a new life change can be overwhelming. This is where Nick comes in.
Nick has been training my momma for about 2 years now and has helped my mom change her life. In changing hers, he (without meaning to) has changed mine.

Because of my mom's efforts with his help, our home has become a lot healthier.
I can't remember the last time we had a gallon of cow's milk, and if you are looking for anything sweet to snack on, you can have a spoon of xylitol or a nectarine! Hahaha

However, just because my home doesn't have junk and gross stuff lingering, doesn't mean my eating habits are 100% clean.

I love fast food guys. I love sweets too.
Jalapeno poppers...an Oreo shake...crisp bean burrito....anything Hot Dog on a Stick..yum.
I know, I know. They aren't good for me. But it wasn't stopping me.

Guys. I'VE HAD ENOUGH.
(deep breath Kaytlyn..) Due to my love of fast food and my mean sweet tooth, I now weigh 205.
Yuck. Yuck, yuck, yuck.
I hate that so much.
Hate it.

This is the heaviest I have ever been and the worst I've ever felt.

Yuck. (don't mind my blacked out room)

//
Nick has a really smart way to get your head in the game.
Answer these questions;
What do you want?
Why do you want it?
How are you going to get there?
Well Nick...
I want to feel happy and comfortable in my own skin.
I want to put on a shirt without having to stretch it out before hand. I want to be healthy.
I'm going to push past the stupid obstacles that are going to try and knock me down and stay positive. No. Matter. What.
Motivation wall in my room
This is it y'all. I have written it down. I am going to share this post so I am accountable. I am not going to give up. I am going to feel happy about myself. I am going to work hard.
//
What I have done already is I'm on my mom's food plan.
Nice and strict so it's easy to stick to.
I am in a weight-loss group at Lifetime Fitness on Monday, Wednesday's and Friday's BUT now I'm going to my moms workout with Nick on Wednesdays! :O
I went there today and I think he was trying to kill me.. okay not really...

This was at least an hour after my workout. I matched my shirt earlier.
Just this one time that I have been there, he's great! Kind but motivating! Which is awesome.
Guys. I'm so excited.
Here I go!

Μέχρι είστε γεμιστά!

That's Greek for "Till you're stuffed!"

This weekend is one of my favorites among the festivities that occur in Utah!

The Greek Festival is just happiness. In all honestly, it just a food fest, but those are the best!
Ever since my grandma introduced me to a Gyro in California, I have loved Greek food(s)

Last year was the first year that Brian came with my grandma and I and he is hooked, and I know that you will be too.

Dolmathes, Pastitsio, Souvlaki, Spanakopita, Loukoumathes, Tyrapita, Amigthalota and of course the lamb pit are my top choices! I feel like Homer Simpson naming all of these off...

Really guys, the only word for it is "aaaaggghh"

Like the title, you will eat until you are stuffed! I would suggest this festival to any kind of foodie. There are some items that are a little um, interesting to look at, but are even better to eat.
Each food item has its own certain price, so going with someone who isn't nervous about sharing food is in your best interest otherwise it can get expensive really quick!

I love my family and our basic traditions! I promised J (that's my grandma's nickname) that when she's old and tired, I will park her in her wheelchair on their patio and bring her the goods! I know I'll bring my children and get them into new foods, fast!

Yum, yum...I'm already looking forward to next year!

Ttfn friends!

I'm still here!

Hiya Folks!

I'm still alive..I promise.
Life got crazy and then calming.. and then crazy again and this sad little blog became neglected..

I think I'll start here again. I miss writing things down and I enjoy feedback (sometimes)

I think I shall update you on what I've done with myself!

//

I have moved back to Utah and left my little girls and great friend. I miss them so much.. I am friends with the mom (who, like I stated has become a good friend to me) and I see her updates of them all the time. Which makes it a little easier to be so far from them all.

The last goodbye to my girlies

Brian and I are coming up on our 2 year anniversary! So that's pretty cool. I adore that man with all of my heart!

I have settled into a pretty great job as Customer Service for The Ready Store. (If y'all need any food storage hit me UP!)

I bought myself a car aaaaaaaand...I drive a stick shift! It is a 2001 Hyundai Elantra and I paid for in all cash!
After crying many times in the car with my mom making me go up a hill, I finally got it down!

I have gained a lot of weight. I worked out while living in New Jersey and moving back I lost all motivation. I am doing a Team Weight Loss at Lifetime Fitness and I enjoy it, but I really hate working out. Hate, hate, hate it.

Well. I think those are all of the major things I have done with myself. And if I think of something else you should know, I'll be sure to bring you into the loop.

But for now...ttfn my friends!
